How COVID-19 will affect your visit

We are grateful that our business is able to be open to the public. We take seriously our responsibility to work safely together and to provide safety for you, while supplying wholesome fruit and vegetables. As always, we are committed to making your visit to the farm an enjoyable experience. We may encounter some kinks as we work things out, so we ask you to please be patient!

Our employees and staff are regularly cleaning/sanitizing commonly shared areas and surfaces, washing hands frequently, keeping social distance, and of course staying home if not feeling well. Our sales staff will wear masks and gloves in the customer service areas.

Please note the following before you come:
PLEASE DON’T COME if you or anyone in your household is not feeling well.

Have a plan - please check the daily update on the home page, or call, before you come.

Masks/face coverings are encouraged inside the farmstand and at the u-pick check-in tent.

Please leave your pets at home.

If you want to stay around with a picnic lunch or refreshments, you are welcomed, but please bring along your own picnic blanket or lawn chairs, and take your leftovers and garbage home with you. Picnic tables may not be available for most of this summer, as we do not have enough staff to monitor and clean after every group’s use.

U-picking:
Container options:

  • Clean containers will be provided for you to purchase.
  • If you bring your own take-home containers, please leave them in your car while you borrow one of our sanitized buckets, and then after paying transfer the harvest to your own containers.
  • You may use West Union Gardens buckets that you have purchased in prior visits. (They will have a WUG sticker.)

Please check in first at the tent. Give each other space and be patient as we welcome you and give instructions and directions.

You will be asked to wash your hands at the farmstand sink before you go out to pick.
Please don’t eat while you are picking, and be careful not to touch fruit that you will not pick.

Children must stay with parents at all times.

Please stay in the rows or areas you are assigned.

If you arrive at peak hours (usually between 9am and 1pm), you may have to wait to have a turn for picking in the fields you want. Consider visiting in the evening hours, on weekdays rather than on Saturday, or on cloudy and cool days when fewer people are here.

Farmstand, ready-picked items, online ordering:
There is space for 4 people at a time inside the farmstand in addition to employees.

Some items will be available for you to select, others we will get for you from our cooler.

We encourage payment by credit or debit card, but we are still happy to accept cash.

For your convenience we are offering online ordering. On the home page you will find a button to take you to our daily order form. Each afternoon the list of available items will be updated. You will be able to reserve and pay for your order there. When you arrive, there will be parking spaces in front of the farmstand reserved for online order pickup, and we can bring your items to your car for you.
